Training and Consultancy to support organisations working to end homelessness and build equity
About Me
I am Sabrina Pathan and I have worked in the homelessness sector for 19 years across the voluntary, second tier and statutory sectors. My most recent roles were as Rough Sleeping Leads for two London Local Authorities and prior to that I worked for Homeless Link (a second-tier organisation) as their Partnerships Manager for London. I continue to work with them as an Associate.
I have commissioned services for people experiencing homelessness, those who are sleeping rough and people who are destitute as a result of having no recourse to public funds.
I worked in the front line of the response to Covid, managing the hotel used for the 'Everyone In' programme. I work to Trauma-Informed, Strengths Based and Reflective principles, and understand well the challenges people and organisations have in implementing these approaches.
I am also an experienced trainer and facilitator with an approach that values discussion, debate and ongoing reflection - my goal is ensure that my sessions deliver deep understanding as well as the essential content.
I find inspiration in approaches that centre relationships, community and connection, both in the process and the outcome.
All of my work is done through a Strengths-Based and Solution-Focused lens. I seek to support organisations by identifying, celebrating and building on existing strengths.
If some, or all, or any of this sounds like I would be a good fit for your organisation, please get in touch. I'd love to hear from you.
Nandini's Roar
Nandini is a South Asian girl’s name, derived from ‘Nand’, a sanskrit root word meaning rejoice or delight, and depending on the language, can mean joy, contentment or happiness.
Nandini roars to be courageous and committed in seeking fairness and justice.
I work in a way that centres the importance of contentment and joy; thriving over merely surviving. I also want to share the courage to speak (or roar) powerfully about that when needed.
Nandini’s Roar is a space where I can offer support, advocacy or words in helping organisations to explore this. If your process isn’t quite reflecting the person, I want to help you. If your organisational language doesn’t convey who you are (or want to be) or what you do, I can find the words for you. If your staff teams need opportunities to learn and reflect, I can provide space that is both containing and empowering.
Contact me if this sounds like an approach you would like to take in developing strategy, evaluating and delivering services and supporting your staff.
